Vibration Analysis & Balancing

Vibration Analysis, when applied in an industrial or maintenance environment and used as part of a predictive maintenance program, can help reduce maintenance costs and equipment downtime by early detection of equipment faults. The most common problems detected during vibration analysis are imbalance of the rotating equipment (fan wheel, pump impeller, motor rotor, gearbox, etc), misalignment, bearing failure and resonance frequency (critical speed) conditions in the structure of the equipment.

When a customer decides to have vibration analysis performed on specified pieces of equipment on a regular basis, Dynamic Balancing will provide a written report for the equipment. The report will show how the equipment is trending compared to previous testing, a severity chart and a brief synopsis presenting any recommendations for the piece of equipment.

If the piece of equipment being tested is shown to have an imbalance, Dynamic Balancing is equipped to trim balance the unit. In most cases, the balancing can be done in place and, if this is not possible, the unit can be balanced in our fully equipped shop.

Dynamic Balancing can provide testing and balancing for one piece of equipment or for an entire building or plant.
